Named STAR-Venture, this is probably the first time a car company has opened a trip combining two routes with two completely different personalities and lifestyles.
Divided into 2 groups of customers with 2 completely different itineraries and schedules, the 2 product lines of SUV and sedan of the German car company have the opportunity to show off their own strengths. If on the forest road, the SUVs freely demonstrate their power and technology, then on the sea road, the sedans help to elevate the luxury and comfort experience for passengers to a new level.
The new generation GLC X254 is the main vehicle in this journey. Known as the most important model of the company and also the luxury SUV that dominates this segment in Vietnam, the GLC successfully depicts luxury but still has a strong modernity.
Mang Den – the destination of the journey – is known as a plateau located in the Truong Son range, with an altitude of over 1,200m above sea level, in the North of the Central Highlands and about 50km from Kon Tum city.
The steep mountain pass from Da Nang to Mang Den is a difficult road for any driver, but it is also the most emotional road. Complex curves, narrow roads, dusty off-road roads or steep climbing corners, all bring a very special driving experience to the participants.

For example, the specialized anti-flat tires Mercedes Original Extended (MOE) on the GLC 300 4MATIC, are made specifically for this model when optimized and absolutely compatible with the safety features on the car, helping to handle situations flexibly and shorten braking distance. In addition, this set of tires is also reinforced with a hard and sturdy tire wall, allowing it to travel up to an additional 80km in case of tire pressure loss.
For a luxury SUV, the most important thing that makes the difference is experience and emotion. And to create those two important things, luxury car manufacturers and master manufacturers have had to apply a lot of complex technology and important refinements so that every touch point of the car is of the highest class. Having a heart that owns 48V Mild-hybrid technology and the 2nd generation ISG integrated starter generator is probably the biggest difference of the new generation GLC.
Thanks to the support of a part of the electric motor, the car accelerates easily, with little delay, and handles quickly on unexpected curves, helping the driver feel deeper and more realistic on complex steep mountain passes. And of course, the solid core of a gasoline engine model continues to help the car bring a driving experience that is emotional, solid and seamlessly connected to the experience of the driver.
Always a luxury and class segment, sedans do not focus on showing off power or skills like their SUV friends. Luxury at every touch point is what Mercedes-Benz sedans want to convey to customers.
