In high school, Long’s “favorite” subject was history. Today, Long personally visited the A1 Hill relic, visited the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum, and burned incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs. The pharmacy student could not help but feel emotional.
“I got choked up when I stepped through the tunnel in front of the martyrs’ temple on hill A1. Especially when the tour guide talked about the story of our ancestors’ generation going to the front without a date to return, the first soldier. When going into battle, you have to predict the number of sacrifices” – Long confided.
The student group also visited Dien Bien museum to see a ‘huge’ painting by more than 200 artists recreating the long battle and earth-shattering victory of the Vietnamese army.
