PHNOM PENH: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed to provide scholarships for outstanding Cambodian students seeking doctoral degrees in digital technologies at French universities. The agreement was signed between Sen Sopheap, chairman of the Cambodian Academy of Digital Technology, and Jacques Pellet, French Ambassador to Cambodia. The signing ceremony took place at the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications on the afternoon of July 22, 2024.
The MoU aims to continue joint funding collaboration to provide scholarships to outstanding Cambodian students. The initiative is part of a broader effort to boost Cambodia’s digital talent and strengthen its research and innovation capacity. These scholarships are aligned with Cambodia’s Digital Skills Development Roadmap for 2024-2035.
Minister Chea Vandes attended the signing ceremony and stressed the importance of the partnership in developing Cambodia’s digital technology sector.
