The bridge has a length of 527 m, the bridge deck is 22.5 m wide; The road section is 12.37 km long, design speed is 80 km/h. The bridge spans the Ba Lai River, connecting the two districts Binh Dai and Ba Tri. On the route there are also 4 simple bridges, culverts across the road and 2 roundabouts connecting DT886 and QL57B.
Ba Lai 8 bridge project is one of four component projects of the floating coastal road project in 3 provinces of Tien Giang – Ben Tre – Tra Vinh. The entire route (both bridges and roads) has a total length of 52.5 km, with a total estimated investment capital of more than 18,300 billion VND.
The remaining 3 component projects of the coastal road project connecting 3 provinces of Ben Tre – Tien Giang – Tra Vinh are the Cua Dai bridge project being researched and designed by the People’s Committee of Tien Giang province; Co Chien 2 bridge project (Tra Vinh province is the investor) and coastal road in Ben Tre province.
