Before the final round of the 16th Ho Chi Minh City Futsal Open – LS Cup 2024 taking place at Lanh Binh Thang Stadium, Belgian futsal champion Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht (RSCA) temporarily took the lead with 3 wins in a row.
Thai Son Nam TP.HCM Club is ranked 2nd with 2 points less. Therefore, coach Nguyen Tuan Anh and his team must defeat RSCA if they want to be crowned champions at home.
Courage and class helped this European Top 8 futsal team control the game. RSCA scored the opening goal to take the lead. And when Thai Son Nam Club equalized 1-1, the Belgian representative scored again to take the lead 2-1 before the end of the first half.
In the first 6 minutes of the second half, RSCA scored 2 goals in a row to lead Thai Son Nam TP.HCM Club 4-1. However, the home team still played with determination and shortened the score to 2-4 in the 29th minute after a beautiful solo and curled shot by Thai Huy.

Using a power-play tactic (no goalkeeper) in the final minutes to find more goals, Thai Son Nam TP.HCM Club conceded another goal after Alberto Castejon’s close-range shot in the final minute.
With four wins, RSCA Club convincingly won the championship. In addition to the cup and gold medal, the team also received a bonus of 5,000 USD.
Besides, this team also won 2 noble individual titles: “Best Player” (Lucas Perin) and “Top Scorer” (Darlan Lopes) with 6 goals.
Thai Son Nam TP.HCM Club won second place with a prize of 3,000 USD. In addition, Ho Van Y (Thai Son Nam TP.HCM) also received the title of “Best Goalkeeper”.
Thai Son Bac Club (5 points) won third place with a prize of 1,000 USD. The style award goes to the club Sahako with $500 prize money.
