The Department of Transport and Communications of Ha Giang province has just divided vehicles because of a landslide incident on National Highway 2, the section passing Viet Vinh commune (Bac Quang district, Ha Giang).
According to the Department of Transport and Communications of Ha Giang province, on September 29, from km 240+300 to km 240+450 of National Highway 2, a landslide occurred on the roadbed, causing traffic congestion. The volume of landslides is very large and the time to process and remove soil and rocks is expected to be long, so this agency has organized traffic and divided channels for some vehicles to avoid the landslide location.
Specifically, motorbikes, motorbikes, electric motorbikes, rudimentary road vehicles, cars, dump trucks with a load of 8 tons or less, box trucks with a load of 3.5 tons or less and other vehicles. Passengers with 29 seats or less are allowed to travel.
Vehicles traveling on National Highway 2 to km 269, turn left to Ngoc Linh commune – Bach Ngoc commune – Thuong Binh commune – Kim Ngoc commune – turn right to National Highway 279 – go straight to National Highway 2 at km 225+650 (Pac Ha intersection) and opposite.

Ha Giang Department of Transport requests agencies and units in the area to widely announce this information so that units, organizations, individuals and vehicle owners know and proactively choose appropriate routes. In addition, this department also requested Ha Giang Provincial Police to coordinate traffic diversion and organization.
Ha Giang Provincial Police said that from the night of September 28 to the early morning of September 29, heavy rain occurred in the area of Bac Quang District. At about 8:30 a.m. on September 29, a landslide along km51 National Highway 2 through Viet Vinh commune was about 300 m long, and the volume of landslide was about over 3,000 m.3causing 3 houses to collapse, one person died, 2 people were missing, 5 cars were buried, and traffic was congested.
Immediately after the landslide incident occurred, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, the Traffic Police Department of Ha Giang Provincial Police; H. Bac Quang police were urgently present at the scene, coordinating with functional forces and local authorities to search for victims in the landslide. 5 large excavators, 1 wheel loader and 8 trucks were mobilized to the scene to level and transport soil and rock.
At noon on September 29, at the scene of the landslide, the authorities found one dead person, Ms. TTH (53 years old, residing in Viet Vinh commune).
According to Ha Giang Provincial Police, the number of buried people may increase. Currently, this force is mobilizing more soldiers to urgently search for people in buried houses. At the time of the landslide, it was recorded that there were many vehicles and people moving on the road.
The authorities ask people whose relatives passed by the scene at that time, are currently uncontactable or missing, to immediately report to switchboard 114 or the nearest authorities.
