Leading the way is the VMEEF fund of the financial investment group VinaCapital with a profit of 32.84%. Although it was only established in May 2023, VMEEF has achieved outstanding profits and led the stock funds on the market, according to the latest report from Fmarket, the platform with the most open-end funds on the market.

The pair of open-end funds from SSIAM (SSI fund management company) are SSISCA and VLGF in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively giving equally attractive returns of 29.68% and 27.74%.
Next are open-end funds BVPF, VCBF-BCF, MAGEF, DCDS, VEOF, VESAF, MAFEQI, all of which have returned over 20%, far exceeding the VN-Index with an increase of 13.63% since the beginning of this year.
The above results were reported by Fmarket in the context of Vietnam’s economy recording positive recoveries in the past 8 months. Many experts forecast that Vietnam’s GDP growth in 2024 could be 6.5% (compared to 5.1% in 2023).
Actual figures show that import and export maintained recovery momentum. Vietnam’s import and export activities maintained a positive recovery in the first half of August 2024 with total import and export turnover reaching 32.93 billion USD, up 14.9% over the same period.
According to the Foreign Investment Agency (Ministry of Planning and Investment), as of August 31, the total registered foreign investment capital (FDI) in Vietnam reached more than 20.52 billion USD, up 7% over the same period in 2023; the realized capital of FDI projects is estimated at about 14.15 billion USD, up 8%.
The Foreign Investment Agency assessed that foreign investment in Vietnam continues to have a positive trend. In particular, new and adjusted investment increased in both the number of projects and the scale of investment capital.
As of August 31, 2024, the country has 41,142 valid foreign investment projects with a total registered capital of 491.39 billion USD. The accumulated realized capital of foreign investment projects is estimated at about 311.33 billion USD, equivalent to 63.4% of the total registered investment capital in effect.
