CJ Foodville will open a new store in Cambodia for its signature bakery brand “Tus Les Jours” and begin expanding its overseas bakery market in Southeast Asia, the leading Korean food company announced on Monday. It is said that he did.
CJ Foodville signed a master franchise agreement with global restaurant franchise company EFG on Friday to open Cambodia’s first two Tours Les Jours locations simultaneously in Phnom Penh.
EFG operates more than 100 facilities in countries including Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.
The brand’s No. 1 store in Cambodia is Tous Les Jours Kam Puchea Kroum. It is located in a high-traffic area between the major facilities of the Cambodian capital, including the Royal University of Phnom Penh, the Cambodian University of Technology, and various entertainment venues.
The second store, Tous Les Jours Toul Tom Poung, is located in an area frequented by locals and tourists around street markets and residential areas.
The two stores boast the brand’s latest premium interior design and offer over 400 types of pastries in a venue that doubles as a cafe.
CJ plans to open at least three more Tous Les Jours stores in Cambodia this year. This is the company’s initiative to establish a domestic bakery market base for Southeast Asia and further expand that base to other countries in the region.
A company official said, “The new Tous Les Jours store in Cambodia is of great significance as it will serve as a bridge to our future plans to expand the overseas bakery market to neighboring Southeast Asian countries.” “We have already tested the brand strength in this region after K-Bakery proved its profitability in stores in Vietnam and Indonesia.”
Tous Les Jours operates more than 400 stores in seven countries, including the United States, Canada, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
The brand’s revenue in overseas markets is higher and growing than in its domestic stores.
